Biodegradable materials - BIO LDPE, BIO MDPE, BIO HDPE

Recycled

Conventional plastic is not a self-degrading material. It takes years, even decades, for rubbish and landfills to decompose. In landfills, not only the plastic itself, but also the contents, are difficult to degrade. This leads to an inevitable increase in landfill space. Made from biodegradable material, the bags help to reduce everyday waste in a simpler, safer and more environmentally friendly way.

Biodegradation. What is it?

During biodegradation, micro-organisms (microbes such as bacteria, fungi or algae) convert materials into carbon dioxide and water biomass. Biomass is a general term for the cells of micro-organisms that require carbon compounds for growth.

The most commonly used materials for biodegradable bags or tapes are:

- LDPE with disintegrating additive

- MDPE with disintegration additive

- HDPE with disintegration additive

- Recycled (recycled) polyethylene with degradation additive

Use of

Biodegradable materials can be used for any purpose, but the most common use is for the production of this packaging:

- waste bags

- shopping bags

- promotional bags

- bread bags

- bags for compost

- bags for peat

- soil packaging

- biofuel pellet packaging

- packaging of building materials
